TERMS & CONDITIONS

By using the Pigeon Post website you are agreeing to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. ​

1. General Terms

1.1 You must be 18 years of age or older in order to enter into a legally binding contract to buy products via Pigeon Post. 

1.2 These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

 

2. Content and Copyright

You must not copy, modify, or distribute Pigeon Post's copyrighted works or trademarks, or other content from the Site.

 

3. Liability

3.1 Under no circumstance will Pigeon Post be liable for any consequential losses. In any event, Pigeon Post's liability in relation to any category of loss or damage shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the relevant product. 

3.2 Pigeon Post is not responsible for any banking charges incurred due to payment being taken via your debit card, credit card, or cheque. 

 

4. Purchases and Payment

4.1 By placing an order, you are contracting to pay for all items purchased by you. 

4.2 Pigeon Post will post items purchased from you after receipt of payment in the time-frame specified.

4.3 Anyone involved with the processing, transmission, or storage of card data must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Pigeon Post uses Stripe as our Payment Provider for purchases. Stripe has been audited by an independent PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and is certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider. Pigeon Post will never see (or have access to) your card data. 

5. Privacy and Data

6. Cancelling a Subscription

'The Messenger' subscription is valid for 6 consecutive months, and the total subscription amount is paid in advance. The subscription does not automatically renew, so your subscription will therefore be cancelled at the end of the 6 month period, unless you purchase a new subscription.  

7. Lost or Damaged Items

7.1 If an item is lost in transit then, unless proven otherwise, Pigeon Post will provide a refund or deliver a similar item. Please note that in the case of an item lost in transit, and so that we can make a claim to Royal Mail, customers may be contacted by Royal Mail to confirm the item has not been received. Please refer to the Delivery Information to ascertain when an item is officially deemed lost. 

7.2 If the item is received in a damaged and unusable state, then please advise Pigeon Post as soon as possible (and within 7 working days of receipt). Pigeon Post will liaise with you to ascertain the nature of damage, and will request a photograph if necessary. Pigeon Post may require the item to be returned to us. If Pigeon Post accepts that the item has arrived damaged, then you will be refunded the original cost of the item, or a similar item will be provided. Please note, however, that Pigeon Post packages contain vintage items which will have wear and tear commensurate with age. ​

8. Returns

If the book you receive is a title you already own or have previously read, unfortunately we are unable to exchange or swap the book or provide a refund. The nature of Pigeon Post is that we handpick a surprise vintage book for you and unfortunately we cannot take in to account your prior reading history.

9. Changes to the Service

9.1 Pigeon Post reserves the right to terminate or change the service for any reason at any time without notice, subject only to refunding any amounts which have been paid by you in advance. 

9.2 Pigeon Post reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions at any time by updating this posting. 

9.3 Pigeon Post reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.

PRIVACY & SAFETY

5. Privacy and Data

5.1 Your details will not be sold or disclosed to any third parties. 

5.2 We never sell, rent or exchange mailing lists. 

5.3 By providing Pigeon Post with your email address you are granting us permission to contact you via email and to communicate with you. If you wish to opt out, please contact Pigeon Post and we will remove your email address from our distribution list. 

5.4 Pigeon Post will occasionally email news and special offers regarding products to people who have subscribed to our email service. If you wish to opt out, please contact Pigeon Post and we will remove your email address from our distribution list. 

PAYMENT METHODS

Payment can be made using any of these methods: a) debit card; b) credit card; c) offline via cheque or cash.

If you are paying in person by cheque or cash, please note that the item will be dispatched upon receipt of cash or upon the cheque successfully clearing.

 

For monthly subscriptions you will be charged on the day you sign up.
