First published in 1925 Those Barren Leaves is a satirical novel by Aldous Huxley. It is the story of Mrs. Aldwinkle and her entourage, who are gathered in an Italian palace to relive the glories of the Renaissance. These are the mouthpieces through which Aldous Huxley expresses his own restless speculations about life and its futilities. This is a 1968 Perennial Library edition pubished by Harper & Row. The eye-catching cover design is by James McMullan.
