The African Queen is a 1935 novel written by C. S. Forester. It's a classic story of adventure and romance, set in the African jungle in 1914 as World War 1 approaches. The lives of a trader and English missionary become entwined as they attempt to escape the jungle on the steamboat 'The African Queen'. The cover drawing of this 1965 Penguin reprint edition is by Robin Jacques.
