Pygmalion is a play by George Bernard Shaw. It was first performed on stage in 1913. This is a 1947 Penguin edition, curated with three surprise vintage treats. It features over a hundred drawings by Feliks Topolski. The story follows London flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, and the attempts by Professor Henry Higgins to transform her in to a duchess by teaching her to speak properly. The play has been adapted many times, perhaps the most well-known adaptation being the 1964 film version of My Fair Lady
