In this imaginative book T. H. White recounts how Captain John Biddel (who features in Swift's Gulliver's Travels) finds Lilliput for himself and takes captive some of its inhabitants and exhibits them for money in England. One night the Lilliputians escape to an island called Mistress Masham's Repose, and become friends with a lonely orphan called Maria. First published in 1947, this is a 1963 Peacock edition with a cover illustration by 'Marion'.
