Arnold Haskell's Pelican guide to Ballet covers its history, its theory, notes on the leading personalities and creators of modern ballet, studies of individual ballets and of some contemporary dancers, and is illustrated with sixteen pages of photogravure and decorations by Kay Ambrose. This is a revised and enlarged Pelican ninth impression, published in 1949.
